Leeanna's Wish provides support for protected groups living in and around St Albans. We are uniquely placed to identify gaps in service provision and to highlight the barriers to participation and social inclusion. From grass roots level to influencing social policy, we are dedicated to combatting inequality.

It takes a village to raise a child ~
This Sopwell-based club in St Albans was a Mayor's Pride Awards 2022 Finalist for the Cultural Innovation Award. It is a safe, inclusive space for young people 11 years+ and younger siblings 8 years + from all cultures and backgrounds. Young people are encouraged to embrace their unique selves, make new friends, try new activities. Includes art, board/card games, football, basketball, Pickle Ball, rounders, and sustainability. A recent history project works collaboratively with St Albans’ Museums & Galleries including training in recording oral histories.
The mission is to engage and empower our young people and to promote social interaction and friendships across all generations.
WHEN: Saturdays during term time, 3pm - 5pm

Volunteer with us
All staff and volunteers at Saturday Club have a duty of care to keep children / young people safe and protect them from physical or emotional harm. This document gives guidance of Education. ‘Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018’, in which you can find useful example of acceptable and unacceptable conduct, together with discussion of the issues raised.
